A cultural destination organised around water, performance and a public street. Roof forms draw on the Khasi knup, bringing local references into a contemporary ensemble of galleries, gathering spaces and hospitality.

A cultural landscape
The masterplan connects the arrival sequence to performance venues, exhibition spaces and the cultural street.
Architecture shaped by rain
Layered roofs and sheltered edges frame the water and extend the public route through the site.
Performance & exhibition
The auditorium and galleries bring different scales of public gathering into the same cultural campus.
The cultural street
A continuous frontage gives the market and pedestrian spaces a shared architectural language.
After dark
Light draws out the roofs, colonnades and water edges.
