The wider lake masterplan
Development clusters follow the terrain and retain the lake as the principal organising element.
The public waterfront
The detailed lakefront plan arranges arrival, recreation, food and cultural programmes as a walkable sequence.
A family of lakefront buildings
Distinct roof silhouettes give each destination its own identity while keeping an open relationship with the water.
The market
Open halls and a sheltered perimeter create places to browse, pause and gather.

The drawing studies test the relationship between structure, enclosure and the open public edge.

The arrival structures carry the architectural language into the boundary and entrance sequence.
Music City & Music Academy
Performance spaces, rehearsal and production facilities form a shared campus for learning, making and public gathering.
Wellness Centre & Luxury Villas
The wider vision includes therapy, rehabilitation, meditation and accommodation. These are programme and masterplan studies within the lake development.
Senior Citizen Living
A residential landscape is organised around shared green spaces and a network of walking routes.
Film City & Lakeside Hotel
Film production and visitor accommodation are explored as distinct programmes within the wider Umiam vision.
Adventure, craft & the wider landscape
The wider programme also explores an Adventure Park, Echo Island, a Craft Village, glamping, the MECL Circuit House and a Sailing Club. Music-related components include a performing arts centre, recording studios, an ethno-musical centre and artist residencies. These are components of the Umiam masterplan vision, with different levels of design development.
